— Annie S., UCR School of Business Administration, Class of 2012
4. Did you find the personal statement database helpful?
“Yes, it was helpful, because the first time I was writing my personal statements it was pretty bad and I didn’t know what to write about. I don’t think my original essays would have gotten me in.”
— Kerwin W., USC College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences, Class of 2012
“Definitely! This is the most important part of the application and I felt really confident with my chances of getting into the colleges I applied for with the personal essays you guys helped me write.”

— Giuseppe M., USC Marshall School of Business, Class of 2010
“Yes, definitely saw a large improvement, I loved how you did not just edit our papers for grammar but rather asked a lot of questions about what does this mean, maybe you should add this instead, or this is not as important let’s take this out. This was very helpful to know why you wanted me to make these edits.”
— Annie S., UCR School of Business Administration, Class of 2012
7. What did your friends and classmates do for college counseling? Did they do it themselves, use advisers on campus, or pay for private counseling?
“Some of my friends, especially my American friends, apply for themselves. But for most international students, especially among my friends, we pay some money for the personal essay and have a private counselor. I heard there are people who can write the personal statement for the student. But I don’t think that’s a good idea. You guys were great and really helpful.”
— Kerwin W., USC College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences, Class of 2012
“Did it themselves. Your service was much more helpful than the campus advisers. Many of my friends were jealous of how great my essays sounded and were regretting not signing up for your service.”
— Annie S., UCR School of Business Administration, Class of 2012
